Banana Phytoliths Suggest Writing in Indus Civilization

In a recent edition of the British Journal Antiquity 2011, Dorian Fuller et al. suggest that banana phytoliths found at Kot Diji point out to banana leaves as a raw material used for MAKING PAPER around 2000 BC in such archaeological site, this implies existence of WRITING in Indus Civilization.

Clearly, Dorian Fuller, as the majority of researchers, contradicts Steve Farmer who intended to deny writing in Indus Civilization with baseless arguments.

In a previous 2009 paper Dorian Fuller wrote:

"It is also possible that Harappan cultivation was fucused on producing a raw material such as paper or fiber rather than fruit, and the use of this may well have declined with urban collapse (including a possible loss of literacy in the Harappan sign system" (Fuller & Madella 2009: 346).
